Beach Chalet Design
A new coastal retreat is taking shape. Crafted with the soul of Moroccan tradition and the calm elegance of contemporary design. Our latest project, a full renovation of a seaside chalet, blends raw beauty with refined craftsmanship using two iconic materials: Tadelakt and Zellij.
Inside, the walls are finished in soft Tadelakt, giving the space its signature matte glow. This natural lime plaster isn’t just beautiful; it’s durable, water-resistant, and perfect for the relaxed atmosphere of a beach property. It creates a seamless, breathable surface that feels cool under the coastal sun and warm under evening light.
Outside, the spirit shifts to Zellij. A celebration of Moroccan artistry. The handcrafted tiles bring texture, rhythm, and personality to the outdoor barbecue area and selected façade elements. Each tile is slightly different, carrying the imperfection that only human hands can shape. Against the backdrop of the sea and mountains, the Zellij patterns ground the chalet in a sense of place.
This project reimagines a simple beachfront structure into a serene escape that honors Moroccan heritage while embracing modern living. Clean lines, natural tones, and artisanal finishes come together to create a space that feels both timeless and effortless.
